Terms & Conditions – Dr. Kat Aesthetics

These Terms & Conditions apply to all consultations and treatments carried out at Dr. Kat Aesthetics. By booking or attending an appointment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following:

1. General Information
  • Dr. Kat Aesthetics is a doctor-led medical aesthetics clinic providing non-surgical cosmetic treatments.

  • All treatments are carried out by a qualified medical professional.

  • We reserve the right to decline treatment if it is not in your best medical or ethical interest.
     

2. Age Policy
  • We do not provide treatments to individuals under 18 years of age under any circumstances.

  • Proof of age (valid photographic ID such as passport or driving licence) may be required.

  • Appointments will be cancelled if ID cannot be provided when requested.
     

3. Consultations & Consent
  • A consultation is required before treatment to assess suitability, medical history, and treatment goals.

  • Treatments will only proceed after informed consent is obtained.

  • Consent must be signed for each individual treatment, even if similar treatments have been performed previously.

  • You may withdraw consent at any time prior to treatment.
     

4. Medical History
  • You must provide complete and accurate details of your medical history, including current medications, allergies, and health conditions.

  • Failure to disclose relevant information may increase the risk of complications and invalidate your treatment.
     

5. Photography
  • Before-and-after photographs are mandatory for all patients. This is a requirement of our insurers and forms part of your medical record.

  • Photographs are stored securely and confidentially in accordance with Data Protection laws.

  • Photographs will only be used for marketing or social media if you provide separate, written consent.

  • You are not obliged to give marketing consent and your treatment will not be affected if you choose not to.
     

6. Appointments & Cancellations
  • Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrivals may reduce treatment time or result in cancellation.

  • A deposit is required to secure your booking. Deposits are non-refundable.

  • Cancellations or rescheduling must be made with at least 48 hours’ notice to avoid loss of deposit.

  • Missed appointments or repeated cancellations may result in refusal of future bookings.
     

7. Payments & Refunds
  • Full payment is required at the time of treatment.

  • Deposits will be required prior to confirming your treatment date - these are non-refundable.

  • We do not offer refunds for completed treatments, as aesthetic outcomes vary between individuals.

  • In cases of medical complications, corrective care will be provided as appropriate.
     

8. Results & Follow-Up
  • Results vary depending on age, skin type, lifestyle, and other individual factors.

  • No guarantee can be given regarding treatment outcomes.

  • Follow-up appointments may be recommended but are not always included in the treatment fee.

  • Additional treatments may be required to achieve or maintain results.
     

9. Risks & Side Effects
  • All procedures carry potential risks, including but not limited to: swelling, redness, tenderness, bruising, and asymmetry.

  • Rare but serious complications will be discussed during consultation.

  • By proceeding with treatment, you accept these risks.
     

10. Aftercare
  • You will be provided with aftercare instructions tailored to your treatment.

  • It is your responsibility to follow these instructions to minimise risks and optimise results.

  • Failure to follow aftercare advice may increase the risk of complications.
     

11. Confidentiality & Data Protection
  • All personal, medical, and photographic data is stored securely and treated with strict confidentiality.

  • We comply with UK Data Protection legislation (GDPR).

  • Information will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except where legally required.
     

12. Complaints
  • We strive to provide the highest standard of care.

  • If you are unhappy with your treatment, please raise your concern directly with us as soon as possible.

  • Formal complaints should be submitted in writing. We will acknowledge receipt and aim to respond within 14 working days.
     

13. Liability
  • Dr. Kat Aesthetics and its practitioners are not liable for adverse outcomes where:

    • Aftercare advice is not followed.

    • Relevant medical history has not been disclosed.

    • The result is within the normal limits of treatment risks.

  • Treatments are non-refundable once completed.
     

14. Amendments
  • These Terms & Conditions may be updated periodically.

  • The latest version will always be available in the clinic or upon request.
